Crock Pot Turkey Chili Recipe
Serving per Recipe 4
Ingredients
1 lbs ground turkey, extra lean or 1 lb leftover cooked turkey, chopped
1 1/2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 1/2 large onions, diced
2 large celery stalks, chopped
1 1/2 large bell peppers, chopped
7 oz can red kidney beans, drained & rinsed
7 oz can any white beans, drained & rinsed
14 oz can tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
1 cups water or low sodium chicken broth
1/2 tbsp chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, minced or to taste
1/2 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tbsp taco seasoning, all natural
1/4tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
And also you need cooking spray
Directions
Preheat large pan on high and add ground turkey. Cook till brown, stirring and breaking into tiny pieces with spatula, occasionally. Transfer to a large slow cooker. If using leftover cooked turkey, skip the browning step.
come back pan to medium heat and spray with cookery spray. Add garlic, onion, celery, bell peppers and saute for five minutes or till golden brown. Transfer to a slow cooker.
Add remaining ingredients to slow cooker, cover and cook eight hours on Low or four hours on High. cut back cookery time to five hours on Low and three hours on High.
